There are a number of products that you cannot sell on Lazada, fortunately Lazada has given a detailed list of the prohibited items.
Obviously, if it is illegal under the law where you reside/operate from, you cannot sell it on the platform. By extension of this very fact it means relevant products unregistered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are disallowed on the platform.
If you wind up with a prohibited product on your storefront, it may result in removal of your product listing and/or issuance of non-compliance points. If you accumulate more than 48 non-compliance points your account may get deactivated, under the discretion of Lazada.
Under the Data Insight tab, click on Account Health to see if you have accumulated any violations.
The following list contains some of the items that cannot be sold on the platform as well as the penalty received for putting up such a listing.
The caveat to this is, the products that are legal under the law are allowed to be sold but sellers must explicitly state within the listing that the product is only to be sold to individuals above the age of 18.
I.e. Adult video games,services, sex dolls, child pornography, sex toys & dolls
Firearms, munitions, Military ordinance and heavy weapons
Any and all dangerous military/police equipment i.e. RPG’s rifles machine guns, bombs etc.
Human parts/remains & protected fauna & flora
Items include but are not limited to organs, bones, blood, sperm, eggs
Animals; parts, pelts, skins, organs, teeth, claws, shells bones as well as any and all endangered species.
Precious metals
All are disallowed except on jewelry, bullions and plated items. Currencies
Tobacco & Alcohol
The caveat to this is, the products that are legal under the law are allowed to be sold but sellers must explicitly state within the listing that the product is only to be sold to individuals above the age of 18.
Products must also be within FDA ranges for both tobacco and alcohol
Illicit drugs, Precursors & paraphernalia
All illicit drugs and paraphernalia, marijuanna/cannabis, opium, poppy seeds and all other natural drugs. The list also includes steroids, synthetic drugs
Mystery boxes and other related products are not allowed to be sold on Lazada. Sellers who upload such a product and are repeat offenders may be investigated during which time they may experience payment hold out, if guilty, seller balance will be permanently withheld
